The Nova Scotia Youth Ambassadors (NSYA) is a talented group of young violinists. Their performances blend Classical music with Celtic, Old-time, French Acadian, Indigenous, Metis, and Lebanese traditions of fiddling, singing and dance.

What do we do?

The Scotia Suzuki School of Music in Halifax is a performance based music and dance school. They have a performance group called the “Nova Scotia Youth Ambassadors”(NSYA). They are a talented group of young artists directed by Christy Hodder.

 

Their performances blend Classical music with Celtic, Old-time, French Acadian, Indigenous, Metis, and Lebanese traditions of fiddling, singing and dance.

 

Truly “ambassadors” of Nova Scotia, these amazing youth perform for conferences, special events, and cruise ships representing Nova Scotia. They also performed this past June/July in the International Tattoo!
